In other news, I should be moving in the new house July 3rd. Only one month to go. Yay!
I finished a book for the first time since...well, I don't really know. The last book I read entirely was the last Harry Potter, but that doesn't count because it's part of a serie and I have to read it. I read the Davinci Code, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It sometimes felt like the author wanted to show off, though. In a "Hey! Look at me, I did research and stuff. I know a lot of shit, now. Let me tell you all I learned about this random church. Oh, and let's forget about the story for a minute, so that I can tell you this random fact I learned the other day." Kinda annoying. And the romance? Bleh. (Sophie: I am helping you escape, Robert Langdon. (hee, I can almost hear Teal'c in my head) Robert: OMG! She's touching my knee in a non-romantic way, she totally digs me. Sophie: The book is ending soon, I have to kiss you. *kiss* Robert: So, I have this big ass hotel room in Italy...) But, hey, it held my attention for three days, so I'm not complaining. Much.
I also read Amelie Nothomb's Acide Sulfurique, which had a disappointing ending. :(
In TV news, I'm still watching SG-1. I watched the first two episoded of Firefly, I may buy the DVDs to watch the rest. I'm also watching Tru Calling and the first season of Buffy. Angel makes me giggle, David was so skinny in the first year. I'm also watching Mysterious Ways, and enjoying it a lot. And oh dear god, I just found out that the girl I like is Mama Luthor. o.O For some reasons, that's incredibly wrong.
Oh, and SGA started playing in French, too. Oh, the hillarity. Oh, Rodney, what did they do to your voice? And Ford! The first time I heard his voice I thought "Just because he's black doesn't mean he's a Jaffa. Don't give him Teal'c's voice!" It's so much deeper than Rainbow's voice. *shakes head* And Beckett, your accent's gone! *weeps*
Wanna know how we say ZPM in French? It's a EPPZ (Extracteur de Potentiel du Point Zero). Remember that part:
MCKAY: we need the zed PM to power the Gate
O'NEILL: What?
JACKSON: ZPM. He's Canadian
Wonder how they made it work in the translation? Americans call it a E2-PZ, because they're just cool like that. :P
