+ The title comes from Kim Addonizio's poem For You

+ This is a fanmix about Sherlock travelling the world to destroy what's left of Moriarty's web. I wanted it to be about chasing and getting chased, gathering intel, waiting, getting into fights, and longing to go home.

+ Inspired by I Don't Know What To Ask For by halotolerant, Space by lokiloo, Lady Macbeth by sariagray and The Sensation of Falling As You Hit Sleep by greywash.

+ This fanmix was so much harder to make than I thought it would. I knew exactly what I wanted: action music, quiet suspenseful music and longing violon. I listened to it so many times while working on it that it stopped making sens for a while. Hopefully it will make sens to you.

+ I added A Dazzling End as a bonus because I considered making it the "Sherlock comes home" track before deciding it was too cheesy. It does still make me grin like an idiot when I listen to it and think about Sherlock going home.

+ And that's the last of the 4 Sherlock mixes I started at the same time. The others were Things That Are Lost (John after The Fall), 17 Steps (John & Sherlock solving crimes) and Stealing Honey (John & Sherlock growing old and keeping bees together).

This is a really lovely mix of songs, and so perfectly suited for Sherlock in his isolation. Wonderful work. Thank you!

You know, I have this page open in my tab for over a month now. Keep telling myself that I NEED TO LEAVE A COMMENT, and I've finally got around to it today, over a month later.

Better late than never?

Anyway, loving all the mixes! 17 Steps was totally weird and wonky and absolutely fit the theme, and this one is just gorgeous with all the music with different hints of all the different parts of the world, I could actually visualise some of the scenes in my head, Beirut Taxi was especially vivid.

Goodbye in Stealing Honey was especially bitter-sweet, and gives me goosebumps whenever it comes on.

Anyway, guess I'm making up for the late comment by giving a detailed one! ;)

Hey, this is a great mix! It gives such vivid images. I downloaded it on...Thursday, I think it was and started listening to it. I didn't get to finish it until Tuesday (yesterday) morning because family had been down to visit. As I listened to it, I started picturing scenes in my head. I tried to consider both the sound and the title of each song as I attempted to form a cohesive narrative.

The long and the short of it is, last night, I started writing and I have a fic half done. So. I was wondering if you mind there being a fic out there inspired by this? I would link back to this page if you wanted.

One thing on what I have planned for it, Cyclogenese is not listed on the back cover art and didn't show up in the dl folder so there would not be a segment on that. Also, I totally missed the Donna Noble song somehow so it didn't make it into my playlist or my planning, therefore, there will probably not be anything on that either.

Also, A Dazzling End makes me grin like an idiot too. :)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I don't mind about the fic at all, and you have my permission to link back to the mix. This mix was actually inspired by a bunch of post-Reichenbach fics, so having it serve as inspiration for another fic makes me super happy! :D

As for Cyclogenese, it must not have made the cut and I forgot to modify my original tracklisting. It's a great though.

[ETA] Send me a link to your fic when it's done, I'd love to read it.

Do you know who performed this version of Bach's Cello Prelude No. 1? What album did you get it from? I love this version and want to find the rest of the suites. Also, I listen to these 4 mixes all the time; you did a great job!
